Hello again, and welcome back to Response. Let’s see what we have today:
* Interesting interview from TV Guide. Joyce Eng interviewed Sukanya Roy, winner of the 2011 Scrippps National Spelling Bee. It seems Ms. Eng suggested that Ms. Roy compete on Jeopardy! I don’t think it’s that bad of an idea. It would be great for sweeps. After all, the next logical step from an advanced computer is a spelling bee champion. Wouldn’t you agree?
* Good news if you’re a Minute to Win It fan. According to an NBC press release (via The Futon Critic), NBC’s going to air a mix of original and encore episodes through Wednesday, September 7. My mom loves the show, so she should be excited about it. As for me, I’m looking forward to 101 Ways to Leave a Game Show, starting on ABC later this June. I admit, I was there for Downfall, so I’m willing to give this a shot. This is one of the reasons why I love summer. The networks sure know how to keep us game show and reality fans happy.
Enjoy the ride.
